Rube Goldberg Machines at Stannington Library

  • Stannington Library Uppergate Road Sheffield, England, S6 United Kingdom (map)

Join us for creating inventions, playing with materials, and exploring low- and high-tech tools.

We'll create a Rube Goldberg machine using blocks, slinkys, trains, marbles and other bits from our treasure chest of goodies. What's a Rube Goldberg machine? It's an invention that gets a simple task done in an overly complex way - think Wallace and Gromit, Mouse Trap and Home Alone.

What to bring:

  • Comfy clothes that can get messy

  • A packed lunch

Who can attend?

Our activities are made for children aged 7 to 11 to work independently. You can drop your child off at 10 am after filling in the safeguarding forms. Pick up time is 2 pm.

Why is it free?

We're supported by Awards for All. The grant allows us to host workshops in communities. Workshops in communities are supplemented by workshops purchased by our friends and #girlswithdrills merchandise bought by supporters all over the world.
