Intro to Woodworking with Girls with Drills

  • Bright Box Makerspace 18 Exchange Street Sheffield S2 5TS (map)

You asked us to provide this workshop for your daughters, so here goes! I have a feeling this will book fast, so please do not delay.

This will be the only one-off woodworking workshop for young makers (7-11) this summer.

In this workshop, you'll learn the basic functions of a drill, how to make a pilot hole and how to choose the right screw for the job.

You'll take home drill art and bookends. We recommend bringing a few plastic toys you can cut up to personalise your bookends.

At this workshop, you can learn these techniques and skills:

  • The basics of using a drill

  • Using a handsaw

  • Safety awareness

What’s included

  • All tools and materials will be provided
