Making a Planter with Girls with Drills (12-16 years old)

  • Bright Box Makerspace 18 Exchange Street Sheffield S2 5TS (map)

You asked us to provide this workshop for your daughters, so here goes! I have a feeling this will book fast, so please do not delay.

This will be the only one-off woodworking workshop for teens (12-16) this summer. We are also offering a 3-week course starting on the 31st of July.

In this workshop, you'll learn the basic functions of a drill, how to make a pilot hole and how to choose the right screw for the job.

You'll take home a handcrafted planter. Make sure to take some measurements before the workshop so you’ll have space for your new planter.

At this workshop, you can learn these techniques and skills:

  • The basics of using a drill

  • Using a handsaw

  • Safety awareness

What’s included
