This will be a course of 3 woodworking workshops for teens (12-16) this summer.
We meet each Wednesday (31 July - 14 August) from 1 to 4 pm.
In this workshop, you'll learn the basic functions of a drill, how to make a pilot hole and how to choose the right screw for the job. We'll also show you different ways to join wood using a drill to make furniture.
Each week you'll complete a project:
Week 1: Planters
Week 2: Shelves
Week 3: Your own project
There's flexibility in each week. We'll show you how to make a specific project and you'll have the creative freedom to create what you'd like with those materials.
At this workshop, you can learn these techniques and skills:
The basics of using a drill
Creating a pocket hole
Using a handsaw
All tools and material will be provided
